My collection has several harps, pictured here are: a Lyon and Healy Troubador (36 strings); a 16 wire strung Irish harp; a 22 string Gothic harp with bray pins and here I am playing a 27 string Folkcraft Highland Senior harp, I mainly use it for traveling practice. It can withstand getting banged around in my van and still stay reasonably in tune. The little wire strung harp can be put in my suitcase and travels on planes well. I have fun playing mostly fiddle tunes on it. It doesn't have much bass, so fiddle tunes work remarkably well with it. I can figure the melody for both hands and with a little practice they fly along at a great pace. Fun around a campfire! Both the Gothic bray pin harp and the little wire harp are made by Lynn Lewandowski of New Hampshire. Lynn's not only a great harpmaker she is a very nice person too.
Here are my harps and Horatio at my Troubador harp, to find out more about my puppets click on the "puppetry" button on my home page. To see more harps and harp info, take a trip through the Harp Ring whose magic doors open at the link below.
