For my Astronomy friends, I am putting in a scan of a Newspaper
photo of me in my observatory. The roof is rolled back revealing
me standing next to my 4 1/4 inch refractor, my 13.1 inch Dobsonian
reflector is behind me. I have a clock drive on the refractor
and the reflector is equiped with digital setting circles. Here's me in the Observatory
Hale-Bopp is here and I've taken some photos. Here are some scans.
They are fairly low-res so they won't take a lot of time to download.
Both images were taken with time exposures and Kodak ASA 1000
film. These pictures were taken in the first photo, at twilight
and in photo #2 at dark, in Livingston Manor, Sullivan County,
New York.
(1)Here's a 135mm telephoto
lens view. I cut off part of the picture that had a line of
blinking strobe lights from a passing airplane. Too many people
were making jokes about a UFO.
